VFX - Stairs fourth shot

The last of the stair shots has a similar process to the three prior, with the matte painting using the same wall texture and lighting information as the others, this kept continuity throughout the stairwell shots.

The third stairs shot has the character rotoscoped, a matte painting inserted, and the character finally graded. The researched game images and propaganda helped bring further recognition with its target audience.

VFX - Stairs second shot

The second stairs shot has a similar process to the first, with the character rotoscoped and the matte painting inserted, but a shadow is also added to the feet of the character. The character is finally graded to make it seem darker:

VFX - Stairs first shot

The first of the stairwell shots, a roto was added around the character, a matte painting was placed in the background. The matte painting included a wall, alongside spray paint and images from the video game for recognition. The character was graded as a finalisation.

VFX Shot 5 -

The fifth shot with the wires touching is brought into Nuke, where the sparkles node was keyframed and transformed to where the wires touched. A glow and colour correct were used to enhance the effect for the final shot.

Shot 4 -

In the dolly shot, a tracked render of the citadel was brought in, transformed, graded, and then the top of the wall and edge of the building were rotoscoped so the citadel fit behind them in the shot.

Shot 3 -

The third establishing shot was graded darker, a rotoscope for the moving car on the opposite carpark was added in the centre, then a render of the citadel was merged, transformed, tracked and graded.
